A posse of Scribbled Pipefish (Corythoichthys intestinalis) reef-watching in the lagoon of Bitra, in the Lakshadweep. Pipefish are relatives of the seahorse, but they do not swim upright and have a slightly different morphology. Like seahorses however, the male pipefish carries the offspring after reproduction and provides most of the parental care to the young.
