Sacred Groves

Locals revere this patch of forest along the Sirsi-Kumta Road. According to the legends and folk tales recounted here, misfortune has befallen anyone who has tried to collect the mud idols scattered within the grove. It is forbidden for women and children to enter this devarakadu.
