Black-necked Cranes were on my ‘must-see’ list at Tso Kar Lake in Ladakh, which is a nesting ground for these birds in the summer. Interestingly, Black-necked Cranes are the most revered birds in Tibetan Buddhism – it is said that a sighting of the cranes brings good luck to the viewer.
