The photographing of these two stunning Kestrels began in late November when one perched around 20ft outside the car. I parked the car got out and began slowly crawling making sure not to disturb the kestrel and managed to capture this photo:
Later that week I heard a large commotion coming from behind the same perch I had photographed the Kestrel on earlier in the week. It was two Kestrels scrapping over what appeared to be nothing. There was no food in the vicinity and it appeared that one of the Kestrels was teaching the other how to fight. However, I'm still unsure of this.
Fast forward a few months and I had only seen glimpses of them until one day, a week or so a go I found the pair of them in a field perching on some small, square hay bales during golden hour which allowed me to get my favourite photo of this pair yet. I hope to continue photographing this pair in the future and maybe even have enough to create another story!
