Nature inFocus (“NiF”, “we”, “us”) operates natureinfocus.in, a photo-led platform for wildlife, conservation and nature photography from India. We are based in Bengaluru, India. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site and what we do with it.

Information you give us: when you register for a community account you provide a username, an email address and, optionally, a display name and profile details. When you email us or submit a story, we receive whatever you choose to send — your name, contact details and the content of your message.

Information collected automatically: like most websites, we collect standard analytics about how the site is used — pages visited, approximate location (city/country), device and browser type, and referring links. We use this in aggregate to understand what readers find useful; we do not use it to identify you personally.

We use Google Analytics to measure site usage. It sets cookies and collects the usage data described above. You can opt out by using your browser's privacy settings, a tracking-blocker, or Google's opt-out tools. Essential cookies needed to keep you signed in to a community account are also used when you log in.

To operate the site and your community account, to respond to your enquiries and story submissions, to display content you choose to publish, to understand and improve how the site is used, and to keep the platform secure and free of abuse.

We do not sell your personal information. Some content is served through third parties whose own privacy policies apply — for example videos embedded from YouTube, and Google Analytics for measurement. Content you publish on your public profile or in the community is visible to others by design.

We keep account and submission information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and take reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can update or delete your community profile, ask us to remove content you have submitted, or request deletion of your account by writing to us. To exercise any of these choices, contact us at the address below.
