Snow Companions

Spotting ptarmigan in a Scandinavian winter is rare, but a turn along a snowy path revealed six birds resting beside a half-buried fence. Their white plumage blended with the deep snow, creating a simple, peaceful scene ready to be framed.

Sandra lives in the UK, but as an avid explorer, she travels in her campervan along roads less travelled, aiming to photograph the wildlife she encounters amidst some of Nature's most environmentally significant and diverse places. From photographing Puffins on a remote, snowy island hundreds of miles above the Arctic Circle, to Dalmatian Pelicans in one of Europe's premier wetlands, Sandra aims to capture unique and captivating images that inform and inspire.
