At Ras Al Khor, flamingos feed peacefully against Dubai’s towering skyline. This urban wetland, home to over 25,000 migratory birds each winter, thrives amid rapid development, filtering water, storing carbon, and sustaining life even as the city grows around it.

Sarthak Agrawal is a passionate wildlife photographer and self-taught naturalist with over eight years of experience. From wild landscapes to urban habitats, he documents animal behaviour with curiosity, patience, and a commitment to conservation. His work has been awarded and exhibited at platforms including Nature inFocus, Nature’s Best Photography, Golden Turtle, BPOTY, IPA, and Montier. A three-time NHM Wildlife Photographer of the Year finalist, he has also served as a Golden Turtle jury member and spoken at the NiF Pune festival.
