Last week, Pratham Books, launched PhoneStories with a bang (or a roar!) The first book in the series, “Watch Out! The Tiger is Here”, still has us transfixed by all the alarm calls that are set off in the forest when the tiger is on the move.

And now it’s time for the second expedition into the wild. The team – writer and NiF Editor-in-Chief Sejal Mehta, award-winning cartoonist Rohan Chakravarty, and stand-up comic Rohan Joshi – is back with “Did You Hear?”, a rollicking adventure featuring our feathered friends.

You’ll discover that if you listen carefully, birds have a lot to say. Did you know that the brown and white Brahminy Kite wails like a hungry baby? Or that the bright blue Malabar Whistling Thrush actually sounds like it’s whistling when it calls? There are over a thousand birds in India, and with “Did You Hear?”, you’ll be introduced to many of them.

Again, you can stream or download it on your phone or tablet. The PhoneStories are available in English and Hindi in an audio-visual format, and in multiple languages on StoryWeaver.
