Farmers Of The Forest

The forests of the Western Ghats have shrunk significantly, but these magnificent oases of green aren’t without their guardians. One of these is the Great Hornbill: a large and distinctive bird whose penchant for fruit is truly a gift for the trees it lives among. This episode explores how these adept pollinators help sustain the forests. It’s no stretch to say the trees depend on them!

The film is a part of a documentary miniseries about the Western Ghats, produced in collaboration with the team at On The Edge.
