A Striated Heron deploys a hunting manoeuvre known as canopy feeding, whereby the bird spreads its wings to create a shade above the water to attract small fish looking for places to hide. Here, the heron's hunt seems successful, resulting in the fish jumping out of the water in a frenzy.
