Ashwini Kumar Bhat has his roots in the village of Galimane in the central Western Ghats but is currently based in Bangalore. He is a software engineer by profession, and has been expressing and exploring himself through photography for the past decade. He has won several awards and his images have been published in books and magazines across the globe. Ashwini is a founding member of two photography groups – Creative Nature Photography and Landscape Wizards. He is also involved in filmmaking, and his directorial debut ‘Aghanashini’ has been selected for more than 45 international film festivals across 30 countries.
