I started diving when I was 12, and for the past four years, the oceans have taken ahold of me. I’ve felt compelled to take up underwater photography seriously and have been on several diving trips, including to one of the best reefs in the world – Raja Ampat, Indonesia. But still, I felt dissatisfied. I hadn’t yet explored the best diving sites in my own country.

So, the morning after my 11th grade exams, my brother and I got on a flight to Port Blair, capital city of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. We explored Chidiya Tapu, the southernmost tip of South Andaman, and then made our way to Havelock Island. The incredible visibility, the richness of the marine life and coral reefs left me awestruck.
