Chetan Rao is the head of content and operations at Conservation India and a former Research Assistant at Dakshin Foundation. As a postgraduate student in wildlife biology at the Wildlife Institute of India, he spent time tracking King Cobras in Karnataka. After his post-graduation, he worked on research projects focused on community assemblages of herpetofauna (amphibians and reptiles) in the Nicobar Islands, on the nesting biology of Olive Ridley Sea Turtles in Odisha, and studying sea snake ecology of the Arabian Sea.
