In the heart of a bustling town, Short-nosed Fruit Bats have found a special place where they can find their favourite food—bananas. The fruit shops here have become their go-to, and the bats mainly feed on the native banana variety. While many shopkeepers appoint guards to shoo the bats away, the owner of the shop in the photograph has come up with an ingenious solution to ensure that the mammals don't get in the way of customers. A ripe bunch is placed in the farthest corner of the shop so the bats can devour the fruits undisturbed. What's more interesting, the bats only visit the stores during winter when fruits are hard to come by in the wild.
