The Climate Challenge

The film by Rakesh Rao follows the journey of scientists who brave some of the harshest conditions on the planet to investigate the effects of climate change.

Rakesh Rao is a filmmaker and a science enthusiast who specialises in documenting scientific expeditions and research activities. His work has taken him to all the three Cryospheric polar regions (Arctic, Antarctic and the Himalayas), making him one of the few documentary filmmakers to do so. He has developed films for several premier research institutions and organisations in India. His work has been featured in exhibitions, books, magazines and other online portals. Apart from the documentation work he is actively involved in promoting science through filmmaking and photography workshops and talks in schools, colleges and other public forms across the country and also creating awareness on climate issues. He tweets as @rakprao and posts as @rakeshprao on Instagram.
